This Lamborghini Gets Smart for 2020

Lamborghini has performed some magic with its mid-cycle revision of the 2020 Huracan Evo. What will really please drivers is that the Evo now has a “brain” which can anticipate your needs perhaps even before you know what you want.

2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo

The “brain” of the Huracan Evo is the Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics system, or LDVI using the Italian acronym. The system monitors all of the vehicle’s performance characteristics and can seamlessly adjust steering, handling, or the engine to meet the driver’s needs. This means that a sudden press of the brake pedal results in the LDVI adjusting the suspension to cancel forward weight transfer and distributes brake pressure to each wheel for controlled braking. While the traction control systems in many cars try to control oversteer and sliding, the Evo LDVI will allow slide with glorious abandon while keeping itself in perfect control.

The powerplant remains the same 5.2 liter V-10 as the Performante with some slight changes due to titanium inlet valves, a retuned exhaust system, and allows an 8,000 RPM redline. At that point, the engine is putting out 631 horsepower which gives the Huracan Evo a 0-62 mph time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed exceeding 200 mph. Power is delivered to the torque-vectoring AWD system through a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The Evo is also equipped with 4-wheel steering which the LDVI system takes advantage of in different handling conditions, and a magnetorheological suspension system which is also controlled by the LDVI brain.

One notable upgrade in 2019 is a 6-way adjustable racing seat addition by Lear. This replaces the previous non-adjustable Kevlar seats. In addition, the new seats are available in three sizes to fit a variety of drivers. Another great addition for a supercar is the 8.4-inch touch infotainment screen which gives access to a wide range of apps and digital readouts of the LDVI subsystems.

The high performance and technologically designed 2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo will soon be available for your review at Manhattan Motorcars. For more information stop by our New York west side location at 711 11th Avenue or call our sales group at 866-325-1538.
