THE SPORTIEST PORSCHE MACAN

The newest member of the Porsche family is the Macan GTS or Gran Tourismo Sport. With its 375 horsepower, twin-turbo 2.9-liter V-6 engine offering 20 more horses than its predecessor, the GTS can accomplish 0-62 mph in 4.7 seconds and offers a top speed of 162 mph when outfitted with the newly updated PDK dual-clutch transmission and available Sport Chrono package. It also offers 383 lb-ft of torque, also an increase from the previous Macan.

Additional features specific to the Macan GTS are its specially tuned Porsche Active Suspension Management damping system, a chassis lowered by 0.6 inches, an available adaptive air suspension system offering an additional 0.4 inches lower ground clearance, standard 20-inch RS Spyder design wheels, and cast iron brakes. Additional braking is offered by either the available tungsten-coated brakes or ceramic composite brake material.

There are external visual cues to help identify the Macan GTS including its standard Sport Design trim with new front and rear trim and unique side skirts. The front grille and apron are painted black consistent with other GTS variants. Dark accents are used with the LED headlights that use the Porsche Dynamic Light System and the rear taillights which have a three-dimensional appearance and an LED light bar. Black accents continue at the rear of the GTS on the diffuser and the tailpipes of the standard sport exhaust.

The interior of the Porsche Macan GTS is both sporty and luxurious with its Alcantara-accented sport seating, center console, and door panels. The exclusive sport seats feature 8-way power adjustments and side bolsters for lateral stability when cornering with gusto. The leather-wrapped steering wheel contains multiple functions and paddle shifters. Available interior features include GTS leather seating in Carmine Red or Crayon with Alcantara accents, a Bose surround sound system, and a smartphone tray with inductive charging. Available safety features include a heated windshield, parking assist including a rearview and surround camera system, and adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist.
