The New Panamera Sport Turismo
Starting with its world premiere at the Geneva International Motor Show, the new Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo has continued to turn heads at every appearance. Members of a focus group had the opportunity to inspect the Sport Turismo, and they came away with the following comments:
“Powerful, striking vehicle”
“Impressive, solid and very elegant”
“Wow, a Panamera in a new guise”
“I liked it immediately, I would drive it straight away”
Exterior features that captured the gaze of participants included the LED headlights, exterior mirrors, the shape of the front hood, the well-defined rear fender shoulders, the 21-inch wheels, side air intakes, the shape of the roof trailing into the rear window and roof spoiler, three-dimensional taillights, and the rear Porsche logo with model designation. Overall, the look of the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is enhanced by the long wheelbase and raised roofline. It will be offered in four model trims: Panamera 4 Sport Turismo, 4S Sport Turismo, 4 E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, and Turbo Sport Turismo.
The focus group participants were perhaps even more fascinated by the interior with the introduction of the 4+1 seating configuration. The extra seat configuration provides room for a fifth passenger for short or medium trips. The rest of the time the Sport Turismo has the look and feel of a 4-seat sports car. The driver’s position utilizes the Porsche Advanced Cockpit including a glass-inspired center console and 12-inch high-resolution touchscreen. Comfort and convenience include the rear seats with their plush seating and climate controls. Add the available panoramic tinted glass roof for even more light. With 1390 liters or 49 cubic feet of cargo space, owners have plenty of room for luggage or cargo.
