The Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder
Lamborghini just unveiled the new Huracan Performante Spyder at the New York Auto Show. It is the rarest of all Huracans, but will turn heads everywhere with its exquisite looks and performance that set records at Nurburgring.
The Performante Spyder uses a 640 horsepower V-10 engine and is 77 pounds lighter than its fellow Spyder. Acceleration from 0-60 mph is roughly three seconds, with a top speed of 202 mph. It uses a “Forged Composite” structure to create strength yet provide the lower weight. Handling and performance is also enhanced by the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system which is a combination of aerodynamic control devices that can be varied to provide greater or less down force.
The new Spyder has an innovative electric-hydraulic roof which can be opened in 17 seconds at up to 30 mph without damage. Power from the V-10 engine is delivered to a permanent all-wheel drive system. The Performante Spyder’s suspension has been revised to provide improved performance in its three driving modes of Strada, Sport, and Corsa. Lamborghini can also add custom features to create your unique Performante Spyder.
