Manhattan Rimac Models near Long Island
Rimac Automobili was founded by Mate Rimac in Croatia in 2009 to develop supercars using electric motor technology. Since the company’s introduction they have produced two production cars, the Concept_One and the upcoming C_Two. Manhattan Motorcars is proud to now be part of the global Rimac dealer network announced at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show in anticipation of the C-Two’s arrival in 2020. Each Rimac high-performance car is handmade in their factory starting with aluminum blocks and raw carbon fiber. This ensures a quality unavailable from mass production.
The Concept_One was introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2011 as the first fully-electric supercar. It offers 1,224 HP, 1180 ft-lb of torque, and a top speed of 220 MPH. The Concept_One utilizes all-wheel torque vectoring by applying changes to each wheel one hundred times per second. Each wheel also has a gearbox and inverter which allows for the rapid control of the wheels independently. The system is powered by a high-performance battery pack capable of delivering one megawatt of power during acceleration and absorbing 400 kW during braking. But the Concept_One is more than just a powerful electric car. Drivers are enveloped in bespoke leather trim in seats set very low and close to the center of gravity to gain the most feedback from the road through the chassis.
The Rimac C_Two is track-ready but also very much at home on the road. It offers 1,914 HP and 1,696 lb-ft of torque with a top speed of 258 MPH. It can achieve 0-60 MPH in only 1.85 seconds! It carries the Rimac DNA with distinctive design elements such as the signature “tie” design on the sides. It offers new butterfly doors for a dramatic entrance or exit while allowing plenty of room. The wheels are specially designed to provide cooling to the carbon-ceramic brakes. The C_Two is designed with a variety of active aerodynamic features including an active front hood, front splitter, active air brake, and rear flap. The C-Two is made of a full carbon fiber monocoque frame with an integrated battery pack and structural crash protection front and back. Bespoke technology includes a near-gaming experience from racetrack data which can be loaded into the on-board system; facial recognition in lieu of a key, a series of cameras, radars, proximity sensors and more to make the vehicle aware of its surroundings; and Rimac all-wheel torque vectoring control for the ultimate driving experience.
