The New Fuel Efficient 2015 Panamera S e-Hybrid!
NY Porsche Panamera S e-Hybrid | Port Washington Luxury Car Dealer
While high-end luxury sedan and Porsche have only recently become acquainted, Porsche has now introduced a hybrid into their lineup. At first look, you might think a typical Panamera has just driven past, but on closer inspection the lime green painted calipers and the e-Hybrid badge on the side and the back makes sure everyone knows what this car is powered by. The supercharged, 3.0-liter V-6 engine puts out about 330 horsepower and about 325 lb-ft of torque and as a plug-in hybrid the battery is a lithium-ion unit with a capacity of 9.4 kWh. On a full charge you can go as far as 16 miles on pure electric power.
The differences aren’t limited to what’s underneath the hood either. On the outside, the car is as sleek, cool, and stylish as any Porsche on the road today, but step inside and sit behind the steering wheel and you’re transported into the future. All of the NY Porsche Panamera S e-Hybrid dials and gauges are in obvious places and laid out for easy viewing while driving, and from the moment you sit down you are surrounded by buttons to fine-tune anything you could imagine. Below you is the 14-way power seat control; to the left are the window controls, power locks, mirrors and toggle for the blind-spot monitoring system. On the center stack, just inches from the shifter, are all the climate controls, Sport and Sport plus mode buttons, toggle for the adjustable suspension, and the traction control.
The soft leather seats will make you feel as cool and comfortable as you look driving it. And you can feel good driving it to, with a combined EPA-rated 25 mpg. But just because this is a hybrid, doesn’t mean that it’s slow. Turn on the car and step on the gas in silence as the electric motor does all the work. Continue to accelerate and the transition to the motor is smooth and fluid. You can continue to accelerate and get to 60 mph in just over 5 seconds. Not bad for a hybrid. You will never feel cooler being in a hybrid than when you are in the new 2015 Porsche Panamera S e-Hybrid.
