Experience the Extraordinary: The Lotus Evora
Lotus continues its long legacy of creating fine performance motorcars with the Evora. Ever since Colin Chapman built his first car in 1948, Lotus has remained true to its principles of providing a spirited and driver-centric experience. They continue their long history of using the optimum number of parts and a balanced chassis to give the Evora its racing-inspired behavior and lightweight for maximum performance.
Whether your tastes run toward the Evora, Evora Sport, GT4, or GTC racing versions, you are assured of owning the same pedigree that resulted in:
- 7 FIA Formula 1 Constructors’ World Championships
- 6 FIA Formula 1 Drivers’ World Championships
- 81 FIA Formula 1 Grand Prix Wins
- 9 Le Mans in-class Wins
- 1 Indianapolis 500 Win
- 1 FIA World Rally Championship
Starting with an extraordinarily stiff extruded and bonded aluminum structure, the Lotus Evora utilizes a central tub containing the cockpit and safety cell which closely resembles race car design today. The chassis is so strong it takes exceptional force to deflect it a single degree from true. Racing-inspired mid-chassis engine placement and components including Bilstein dampers, Eibach springs, and AP Racing track-tuned brakes assure the driver of a spirited but controlled driving experience.
Equally at home on the road or track, the Evora uses balanced power-assisted steering. Braking is assured with cross-drilled and ventilated four-piston caliper brakes. The Dynamic Performance Management (DPM) system provides traction control and stability management with normal, sport, and off modes to provide the level of control you desire. Turn it off when you are ready for a higher pulse rate. When stuck in city traffic, enjoy music from multiple audio inputs using the available multimedia system with navigation. If your reality is daily traffic congestion, choose the Intelligent Precision Shift automatic transmission with paddle shift control for more relaxed driving.
The pulse-raising performance is provided by a 276 horsepower 3.5 liter V-6 with dual overhead cams and variable valve timing with intelligence. Enjoy 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 163 mph. The Evora S uses a Harrop HTV supercharger with Eaton TVS™ technology to deliver 345 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The S trim offers 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 178 mph.
If you want your Evora to show its racing heritage choose the Sport Racer in either naturally aspirated or supercharged versions. Four exterior colors are coordinated with black accents across the roof, rear diffuser, side sills, and front splitter. Black name badges and a side Union Jack badge reflect the Lotus UK heritage. Black premium leather Sports seats with contrasting red stitching or Venom Red seating with contrasting black stitching are available.
