The Exciting Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster
Since its introduction in 2012, the the Manhattan Lamborghini Aventador has definitely been a head-turning car. With the roof of the 2018 Aventador S removed, the driver and passenger will become even more visible, a boost for those who want a bit of attention from admirers nearby. If that doesn’t get their attention, the 730 horses coming from the naturally aspirated V-12 will create a symphony of sound that will definitely grab looks from those around you. Getting from 0-60 mph in about three seconds won’t hurt either!
The 2018 Aventador S Roadster has that targa-like two-piece roof that will open up the headspace for the occupants, bring the V-12 sounds into the cabin, and make ingress and egress a bit easier through the scissor doors.
The Aventador S is powered by a 6.5 liter V-12 which offers 507 lb-ft of torque along with that amazing horsepower. It is mated to a 7-speed automatic-shift manual transmission with overdrive and steering wheel controls. Maximum horsepower is developed near the 8,500 RPM redline. Power is delivered to all wheels which are also equipped with anti-lock brakes. The engine uses auto start-stop for efficiency. The suspension is a double wishbone pushrod system on all wheels with magnetic fluid-filled shock absorbers, front and rear anti-roll bars, electro-hydraulic power assist speed-sensitive steering, and automatic adaptive suspension with driver control. The brake system includes 4-wheel ABS, vented ceramic discs, hill hold control, and an electric parking brake.
The interior of the 2018 Aventador S includes a 4-speaker audio system, 2-way driver and passenger seat power adjustments, manual tilt/telescoping steering wheel column, remote keyless entry, dual zone climate control, leather and aluminum trim, and a leather/aluminum steering wheel. Safety features include electronic stability control, driveline traction control, side impact beams, front and rear parking sensors, tire-specific low pressure warnings, and a backup camera.
