BAC has enjoyed major milestones in the last couple of years with the Mono:
July 2018 — BAC Mono broke the Goodwood Festival of Speed supercar record. The Mono completed the famous Hillclimb run in 49.13 seconds and beat the previous record by 0.14 seconds.
September 2018 — BAC receives the Niche Vehicle Network grant to study the use of graphene in automotive construction. BAC originally made headlines when it developed graphene-based carbon fiber panels for the Mono in 2016. Graphene is carbon aligned in a single-molecule thickness, making it significantly lighter than carbon fiber.
October 2018 — BAC opens its latest dealership agreement in Sweden, joining existing dealership agreements in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and Hong Kong. BAC’s Mono has been exported to over 35 territories around the globe.
December 2018 — BAC celebrated another milestone by setting the fastest production car lap time of 2:14.617 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. The Mono beat the previous record held by a Porsche GT2 RS by over 4 seconds on the Formula 1 track.
January 2019 — BAC and the Mono were featured in a 20-page article in CAR Magazine by renown journalist Ben Oliver. Oliver was given a Mono to explore the Isle of Man and was blown away by the Mono’s performance. A PDF of the article can be found here.
February 2019 — BAC launches their East Coast USA dealership agreement with Manhattan Motorcars, one of the most globally successful performance automotive dealerships.
April 2019 — BAC delivers its 100th Mono to the Strøjer Samlingen car museum in Assens, Denmark which owns over 120 cars from around the world. The Mono #100 was draped in classic British racing green coupled with its powerful looking carbon fiber body.
April 2019 — BAC partners with Manhattan Motorcars to display the Mono at the New York Auto Show. The Mono received great attention in good company with the dealership’s other performance supercars.
May 2019 — BAC is recognized for their engineering and innovation by winning Insiders Automotive Award at “Made in the North West 2019.” The judges based the award on BAC being “best-in-class for all elements of manufacturing, innovation and pioneering technology, alongside efficiency and sustainable growth. The company is putting the UK automotive industry on the global map.”
